The 4th CSF Yiwu International Sports and Leisure Products Expo & Yiwu International Outdoor Products Exhibition (abbreviated as "CSF Yiwu Sports Expo") will be held at the Yiwu International Expo Center from August 2-4, 2026!
With the successful convening of the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, a significant wave of economic benefits from the Asian Games is upon us. In the first half of 2023, the export of sports goods from Yiwu, known as the "world's supermarket," has seen a substantial increase. Data indicates that the number of people regularly participating in physical exercise in China has surpassed 500 million. In the first half of 2023, the total number of sports venues nationwide reached 4.509 million, marking a year-on-year increase of approximately 6.7%. This year, as the Hangzhou Asian Games draw near and public enthusiasm for fitness soars, Yiwu, often referred to as the "world's supermarket," is also experiencing a significant wave of benefits from the "Asian Games economy." The sports goods operated in Yiwu International Trade City encompass a wide range of sports and fitness products, including jerseys, sneakers, basketballs, soccer balls, table tennis balls, national flags, cheering sticks, treadmills, and other related merchandise, with an export orientation reaching up to 75%. According to customs data, from January to May 2023, Yiwu exported sports goods worth 2.85 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 15.6%; from January to June, the export value reached 3.52 billion yuan, up 22.5% year-on-year; and from January to July, the total import and export value of Yiwu City amounted to 321.1 billion yuan, representing a 19.7% increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, orders for sports goods from Asian countries are continuously increasing.
The global market for outdoor sports and leisure products is experiencing rapid growth in revenue scale, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.7% over the next five years. Relevant products include tents, canopy leisure tables and chairs, inflatable mattresses, water sports equipment, backpacks, mountaineering clothing, bicycles, e-bikes, artificial turf, artificial climbing walls, and more.
Camping, as a leisure activity that brings people closer to nature and allows them to enjoy the outdoors, has become increasingly popular in China in recent years. According to statistics from the China Camping Association, the number of camping trips nationwide reached 230 million in 2023, marking a year-on-year increase of 30%. As market demand continues to grow and the scale of related industries expands, the demand for professional equipment, venues, services, and other related products is also on the rise. Many tourism and leisure product companies are intensifying their efforts in domestic and foreign trade, expanding their markets, and showcasing significant growth potential and vast development opportunities.
Yiwu, along with its neighboring regions of Yongkang, Wuyi, and Ningbo, serves as a production base for outdoor camping products, with customers spanning over 60 countries and regions including the United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, Australia, and more. In recent years, these products have gradually entered the domestic market and received positive feedback.
Yiwu is one of the largest small commodity distribution centers in China, as well as an important production and export base for outdoor products. According to data from the Yiwu Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the total export value of outdoor products from Yiwu reached US$780 million in 2022, marking an increase of 18.6% year-on-year.
